 I am very pleased to announce that Satanic Panic Miniatures will be re-releasing the original Museum Miniatures 15mm ancient ranges, beginning with the Classical Indian range, which is well... A classic range.

These will be available late Summer, possibly with a pre-order or crowd funding. 

With new moulds mastered and cast by Chris at Macrocosm, this will ensure the continuation of a series of models which still cause gamers of a certain vintage to get all teary-eyed.

Carved in 1890 from wood and wax, this sculpture in the collection of Sheffield's Weston Park Museum depicts a 21 match bout between 12th century Samurai, Kawazu Saburo and Matano Goro. Matano was beaten and obviously was left humiliated. Like all good losers, he then had his opponent assassinated. *takes notes* Now this is not only a wonderful work in wax and wood - stunningly lifelike - but when I sent a pic of it to my old friend Professor Darren Ashmore over at Akita University a while back, he reminded me of spending time in the museum when we were but level 2 Frothers in the 80s. Overindulgence? Is it Possible? I Fear It May Be...

It's a strange morning for me. Firstly, as a long time fan of M.A.S.H, I am saddened to hear of the passing of Loretta Swit. If you have never heard her interviewed, she was witty, interesting and very gracious, speaking fondly and highly of her fellow cast members. I think that only Alan Alda & Jamie Farr remain now... Ah me, but I feel old. But, what has really hit me is a feeling I cannot shake that I may have reached a sort of miniature-amassing 'critical mass' situation, bordering on burn out. I collect large armies as you know, and I always have. Yesterday I was unpacking 1700+ 15mm Mike's Models Crusades figures. They are gorgeous little models, being much larger than the norm, along the lines of Tin Soldier. It took me 2 and a half hours, standing in a stooped position, carefully unwrapping, rebending and repairing as I went. I am trying to weave it in with the stories in my 2012 book as well as covering stuff I was not mentally ready to relate back then. It got pretty dark in the basement in the late 80s for me.
