Satanic Panic Miniatures Announce First Fantasy Range for 2021

2021 is but three days old, and Satanic Panic Miniatures, purveyors of 28mm multi-part fantasy miniatures, have announced that the next addition to their ranges will be Dwarves modelled on the armies of Medieval Russia.

The Dwarves of Kazakh-Ruzz are unique amongst Dwarf kind, for their totally mounted army and Giant killing tactics on the steppes, to the East of the Tower of the Great Wizard. Even the Hobgoblins show them respect and the Great Gnolls refuse to face them on the plains, preferring to risk the longer routes through the Great Circle Mountains.

Some boar mounted Great Gnoll forces have clashed with the Dwarven host, but they have only ever fought them to a draw at best.

Armed with lasso and hooked lance, mounted on the sturdy and spiteful descendants of the legendary pit pony 'Big Bastard' these Dwarves scour steppe and plain, honing mounted warfare to a fine art. They know that out there in the 'Big Fields' infantry, especially that which is already vertically challenged, will get creamed by larger or faster enemies. They use lamellar and chainmail armour, together with large round shields and have been known to form mounted shield walls with armoured ponies and riders creating an impregnable obstacle to their foes.

They act as caravan guards for the traditional mountain strongholds, but the price they command has led to many an otherwise stone-faced Dwarven merchant captain to invoke the name of the Dwarven god of commerce, Owmuch with a plaintive gasp.

They are not your traditional fairytale gold miners, and their chieftain the mighty Kazzimiir Well'ard takes great pride in the non-conformity of his people. His warriors hang bottles of ale, ropes, bed rolls and even the heads of their enemies from the saddles of their ponies. Everything they need is carried, and when a pony has given it’s all, it adds to the rations carried by it’s brethren.

Reports of elite Dwarven scouts mounted on camels, armed with 12 foot spears have also started to filter through to the settlements on the western fringes of the steppes, but this is maybe just rumour.

Yes, folks, this is a solid Kickstarter plan and in fact the groundwork is under way as we speak. I'll be posting concepts and other little teasers in the next few weeks as Martin begins to work his powerful magics. The mounts are done, as are the majority of weapons and equipment sprues.
